Becca Eye Tint Swatches: Vicuna

I was lucky enough to grab myself a couple of Becca's Eye Tints in a recent Lookfantastic sale and have been getting a lot of use out of the shades I've purchased. I already swatched and reviewed Baroque which is a soft golden brown, a couple of weeks ago and wanted to share some swatches of the other colour I purchased, Vicuna.

For those of you who aren't familiar with Becca's Eye Tints, they are described as ingenious eye crème's with a unique formulation that glides on as a creme and sets to a powder. They're also described as being long-lasting, water-resistant, crease-resistant and easy to apply.

Vicuna is simply described as an Opal shade on the Becca site. I'd describe it as a sheer, peach-y gold shot through with very fine shimmer.

I mentioned in my previous review how impressed I was with Baroque's formula and I'm equally impressed with Vicuna. The shade feels slightly runnier then Baroque in consistency so you really do need to give it a good shake before using as the product tends to separate slightly in the tube. I find only a small amount of tint is needed for both eyes and the creme formula applies and blends with absolute ease. Literally, a little dab and a tiny bit of blending and you're done with application. These are perfect for those of you who like simple, easy to apply make-up, or for those who don't have time to faff around applying and blending five different shades of shadow in the morning.

I've mainly be using the peach-y gold shade as a highlighter on my brow bones because it doesn't add enough colour to lids to be worn alone. Used in this way it leaves a really subtle hint of glowy colour and works quite well at brightening up the eye area. I've also been using it a lot over the entire lid as a base for other shadows. Eye Tints really do create a nice canvas for powder and cream eye shadows and I find they really improve lasting power and help to prevent creasing.

All in all, Vicuna is another nice shade from the Eye Tint range that I'm pretty pleased with. It works well as a base, makes a nice highlighter shade and works well paired with Baroque. If you like natural, subtle eye colours, Vicuna is definitely worth checking out.

  1. These look great - I'm loving the Vicuna...I would wear it alone just for a slight shimmer and evening out my skintone on my eyes. Great find!

  7. I tried Baroque one day in a dept store but was underwhelmed, didn't think it was pigmented enough but I was tired , hot & bothered. I need to give them a second chance- your swatch looks really pigmented
