I'm jumping on the 'looking forward to spring' bandwagon with Chanel's June. Much as I love dark, vampy, wintery nail colours, I've kind of had enough of wearing them now and am really looking forward to fishing some of the brighter colours out of the stash. I'm also really looking forward to warmer weather and some sunshine! I've seen a few blog posts on spring/summery shades over the past week, so I thought dig out June and brighten up my own nails.
Chanel Nail colour: June |
The creamy, pastel apricot shade was released last year as part of Chanel's Spring collection. I thought it was limited edition, but after a little search around, it seems it's still available on quite a few sites.
Chanel June. 3 coats (No top coat) |
I personally find application to be a meh with June. The formula applies quite sheer, and even after three coats I didn't manage to get an opaque or completely even coverage (there were a few minor streaks). Still, it is a pretty shade!
Chanel June, Miami Peach & Cashmere |
I received June as a gift, and I agree - it's a bit sheer, but it is quite summery and cheerful :)
ReplyDeleteIt is pretty summery and cheerful, Larie! :)
DeleteI've never purchased a sheer pastel from Chanel because I've found that the testers often apply streaky. That said, Cashmere looks like SUCH a pretty colour!
ReplyDeleteCashmere is a pretty shade, I have had a few problems with application with that one too, though. Still, I guess I can't complain too much, as it's ancient! It's got to be almost ten years old and the formula is still good/applies reasonably well, which is actually quite impressive!
